Corner of the front Garden

Tulips and forget-me-nots livening up a corner of the front garden

Such a cold Spring this year and yet the tulips opened up early although the forget-me-nots were late. Unfortunately a few days of record breaking heat interspersed with below average cold days smashed the tulips by mid-May although the forget-me nots lingered on to the end of the month.Fruhlingsgold gave a good display towards the end of the month. The tulips gave wy to Purple Sensation alliums and aquilegia although I will have to wait for June for the huge heads of Christerphori and the full glory of Buff Beauty. However, Rose Geoffrey Mamilton plants have opened earlier than usual on extremely healthy bushes
